Consultancy rolls-out ScanSafe Web Filtering and Malware Scanning in over 70 countries
LONDON and SAN MATEO, Calif. —May 19, 2008 — ScanSafe, the global leader in SaaS Web security, is providing a secure Web environment for nearly 6,000 employees in over 70 offices around the world at international planning, design and management consultants, Halcrow. The company has turned to ScanSafe’s Web Filtering and Malware Scanning services as it introduces a standard security policy across its global offices and is also evaluating ScanSafe’s Anywhere+ service for its roaming laptop users.
Halcrow provides consultancy services on a wide range of major infrastructure projects around the world, including Crossrail, London’s new $32 billion, 120 kilometer railway line, Palm Jumeirah in Dubai, and the 120 kilometer, $820 million Chongzun Expressway in central China. Its business is based on the knowledge, experience and expertise of its people, and the Web plays a key role in day-to-day operations. Staff use search engines to research ideas, Web-mail and instant messaging to collaborate with clients and partners and social networks to gauge opinion ahead of major public projects.
