LONDON and SAN MATEO, Calif. - Sept. 21, 2007 - ScanSafe, the pioneer and leading provider of Web Security-as-a-Service has appointed Stephen Dane vice president of EMEA sales.  His key responsibilities will be driving sales growth and increasing market penetration in EMEA by leveraging the company's network of channel partners and strategic alliance partners including ISPs and managed service providers.

"Stephen brings a breadth of sales experience in our key growth areas including building and managing OEM relationships with carriers and managed service providers and he will be spearheading our drive into SaaS mobile security solutions," said Eldar Tuvey, CEO, ScanSafe.  "His unique combination of skills is a great asset to our management team."

Dane joins the company with more than 15 years of technology sales management experience in the telecommunications, Internet security and mobile connectivity sectors. He arrives from iPass, a global provider of services that unify the management of enterprise mobility, where he spent six years heading sales teams across Europe. He joined the mobile connectivity specialist as a business development manager for Northern Europe in 2001 and later led sales teams across EMEA before becoming sales director for UK and Ireland.

In addition to his experience in mobility solutions, Dane brings a wealth of experience in the telecommunications and managed security services industry.
