Web Security Firm Recruits ex-Microsoft and FrontBridge Executive
LONDON and SAN MATEO, Calif.,--Jan. 25, 2006 Craig Whitney has been appointed vice president, sales, EMEA with ScanSafe, the market leading provider of managed Web security services. Driving sales growth, implementing a new channel program and increasing market penetration within the information security industry will be among Whitney's main responsibilities.
Whitney brings with him more than 14 years of business experience having previously spent two and a half years with FrontBridge, now owned by Microsoft, and was responsible for developing the firm's first business operations outside of the US.
Prior to joining FrontBridge, Whitney was director for strategic alliances, EMEA with Internet Security Systems (ISS), joining as part of its U.K. start-up team and later moving in to senior sales and marketing roles in ISS'London office and its European headquarters in Brussels. Whitney's expertise also extended to working with secure remote access technology for Cable & Wireless' Systems Integration division and Federal Express.
