Eldar Tuvey
Co-Founder & Chief Executive Officer


Eldar has served as Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of ScanSafe since 1999. Over the last six years he has been responsible for creating a global leader in managed Web security, and continues to drive the company's strategic direction and growth.

Prior to co-founding ScanSafe, Eldar gained extensive business and finance experience during a career in investment banking. Previously employed at Goldman, Sachs & Co. in London and Hong Kong, he advised on numerous international financing and merger related projects within the Corporate Finance division.

Eldar completed his MBA at INSEAD and holds a BSc in Economics from Bristol University.

Roy Tuvey
Co-Founder & President


Roy has served as President and Board Director of ScanSafe since 1999. He founded and continues to lead the company's operations in North America and is responsible for ScanSafe's key strategic alliances.

Prior to co-founding ScanSafe, Roy gained significant experience in business and finance during a career in global private equity and investment banking. He originated, executed and managed investments while at Compass Partners, a $1 billion European private equity fund, including the leveraged buy-out of Electrolux Zanussi Vending. Previously, Roy was part of the investment banking team at Merrill Lynch where he provided leading global companies and governments with financial advice in relation to strategic transactions.

Roy has a BSc in Economics from Bristol University.

John Edwards
Chief Technology Officer

John has been responsible for conceiving and driving the execution of ScanSafe's technology since 1999, including overseeing the engineering and architecture teams that have created the company's scalable, high performance Web processing platform. He has over fifteen years' experience in commercial software development, including ten years developing state-of-the-art Internet technologies.

Before joining ScanSafe John was Senior Applications Architect at BBC Worldwide, where he performed award-winning work and had technical authority for site-wide applications architecture. Previously, he designed and implemented a global news and research intranet for BZW.

John has an M.Sc. (Distinction) in Human Computer Systems and Artificial Intelligence.

Jonathan Elstein
Vice President, Operations


Jonathan is responsible for ensuring that ScanSafe's worldwide operations are efficient, robust and scalable.  He has held senior operational roles at a number of companies in the IT, energy and financial services sectors and has over ten years of experience in scaling the operations of high-growth companies including as Operations Director at Quantum Energy Group and Head of Commercial for UK eUniversities Worldwide.

Jonathan has a BA in Law from the University of Cambridge

Jim manages ScanSafe's network infrastructure development and  administration which has delivered a long track record of highly  scalable and available web processing. Jim has over fifteen years  experience in IT operations and support.

Prior to  ScanSafe Jim was responsible for day to day operations of all aspects  of the architecture at BBC Worldwide, and was previously network  consultant to Ingram Micro, the UK's largest distributor of computer  products.

Jim is certified to expert standard in numerous technologies.
Stephen_Dane

Stephen Dane
Vice President, EMEA Sales

Stephen is responsible for driving sales growth and increasing market penetration in EMEA by leveraging the company’s network of channel partners and strategic alliance partners including ISPs and managed service providers.

Stephen has more than 15 years of technology sales management experience in the telecommunications, Internet security and mobile connectivity sectors. Prior to ScanSafe, he spent six years at iPass, a global provider of services that unify the management of enterprise mobility, where he headed sales teams across Europe. He joined the mobile connectivity specialist as a business development manager for Northern Europe in 2001 and later led sales teams across EMEA before becoming sales director for UK and Ireland.

In addition to his experience in mobility solutions, Stephen brings a wealth of experience in the telecommunications and managed security services industry. Stephen spent eight years at BT Group where he managed global accounts in Asia and the UK, serving BT’s major business customers with a portfolio of managed network services and systems integration solutions. Stephen also served as strategic alliance manager for managed security services provider MessageLabs.

Stephen has an MA in History from the University of St Andrews.
